FAQ

Booking & Appointments

How do I book?

You can book all your appointments online 24/7. I do not book any appointments via phone call, text, or email. If you have any questions about booking, feel free to email me at emmylovesblondes@gmail.com.

What if I'm late?

I understand that things happen. If you are 5-10 minutes late, we should be able to proceed with your scheduled service without problem. At 15-25 minutes late we may need to modify what services are done that day. At 30 or more minutes we may need to reschedule or drastically change what can be done that day.

Cancellations & Policies

All my policies regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and no shows can be found on my policies page here.

Pricing & Payment

How is pricing determined?

My prices are listed with all my services on my service pages. I have a starting at price and a maximum price for each service listed depending on how much product and time is needed.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all card payments and cash. Card payments can be taken via tap on my phone (it's very nifty.) I also accept payments via Venmo and Zelle. Tips can be added on card as well.

Before Your Appointment

How should I come to my appointment?

For all services, I strongly recommend avoiding turtlenecks and hoodies, as they can interfere with the service and are at a higher risk of damage from chemical services. In general I would advise never wearing clothes that you would be upset if they got damaged to the salon as accidents can happen.

For color services coming in with clean hair (washed day of or day before) will ensure best results. Don't worry about coming in with clean hair for a haircut! A shampoo is included.

Feel free to bring any inspo pictures you have! Showing me pictures of what you like and don't like is absolutely encouraged!

Can I bring a friend or children?

Friends can come, however they won't be able to sit next to us during your service, but they can hang out in our waiting area.

Salons can be dangerous for young, unsupervised children, and out of respect for the other stylists and their clients, I ask you to leave the little ones at home. Older kids and teens can wait in our waiting area.

Can I eat or drink during my appointment?

Absolutely! We offer an array of drinks for you and you're more than welcome to bring something to eat.

Blonde Questions

Whats does Lived in Blonde mean?

Lived in blonde is a low maintenance blonde look with soft, blended highlights that grow out naturally. It gives a natural blonde look without harsh lines, so it looks effortless and lasts longer between appointments.

Whats a Root Shadow?

Root shadowing is a technique where a non permanent hair color that matches your natural hair color or is a shade darker is blended at the roots to create a soft, natural transition into lighter hair. It adds depth, looks more natural, and helps the color grow out seamlessly with less upkeep.

Whats does Custom Blonde mean?

Custom blonding is a personalized approach to each client. Foil placement, tone, brightness, and the use or omission of a root shadow are chosen based on each client’s hair and desired look. Every detail is adjusted to create a blonde that works specifically for you.

I'm already blonde but I want lowlights. What do I book?

If you're looking to stay blonde but want to add more depth and dimension with lowlights you should still book a Full or Partial Blonde appointment depending on how much darker or dimensional you want your blonde to be. A Full Blonde would be good if you want a maximum amount of lowlights, and a Partial Blonde would be good if you want a medium amount of lowlights. Lowlights and highlights can be added at the same time regardless if you book a Full or Partial. I would not recommend a Mini Blonde for lowlights.

Whats the difference between Full and Partial Blonde

and which should I book?

Partial Blonde focuses foils around the front hairline, sides, and top of the head, leaving the back of the head and the nape unfoiled. This is a good option if you're not looking to be extremely blonde or are between Full Blonde appointments. Typically clients can do 3-4 Partial Blondes between Full Blonde appointments.

Full Blonde includes foils in the back of the head and at the nape. This is a good option if you want maximum brightness all over or if you have a lot of outgrowth and it's been a while since you had your hair highlighted.

Other Qs

Whats parking like? â€‹

We have unmetered, two hour street parking around the salon. I suggest arriving 5-10 minutes early to have adequate time to park.

Do you offer refunds? â€‹

I do not, however if you are unsatisfied with your hair, I offer free fixes scheduled within a week from our original appointment.
